I didn’t have a lot of weight to lose, but I did lose my extra 8 pounds and 9 inches over the 52-day Countdown to Your Best Body. My starting plank time was 2:20 and my final was 5:10! By the end of the Countdown I learned how much I needed to change my diet, which made me change a lot of my daily choices. The older I have gotten the less I can rely on my “good genes.” I always thought what I was doing was good enough, but it wasn’t.
I was lucky to have a great support group. My husband and 5 friends all completed and competed with each other. My husband and I planked daily and sent pictures of our times to stay accountable and honest. He lost 18 pounds and enjoys his exercise much more now!
Reducing our daily sugar intake was the toughest, I made some big changes, and it’s been over 6 months and I even still use almond milk and Stevia in my coffee! Cutting out my bad sugar habits got easier as the Countdown went on. I really learned a lot from the book and Sohailla’s seminars.
