I had great success in my heath until a life changing event threw me for a loop. I lost focus, I got older, and experienced some pretty significant injuries. Even though I continued a fitness regimen, I let my eating get out of control. When I learned about the Best Body Countdown, I got a renewed interest in making permanent changes. Our daughter is expecting our first grandchild in May. Not only do I want to be here to see this child and our future grandchildren grow up, I want to be an active participant in their lives. I knew I needed to lose weight to be able to do that.
Through the Countdown, I realized that a few simple changes to my food plan could mean a significant difference in my overall health and well-being. I’ve lost 20 pounds, and I’m on my way to my goal of losing 75. I love that everything is laid out for you in the Countdown Journal, and that makes following the plan so simple. The cookbook is filled with recipes that are not only delicious and easy to prepare, but are very filling too. If you resolve to eat clean – lots of fruits and veggies, whole grains, fresh cuts of lean meat and drink plenty of water, it really isn’t hard. We all know how we love our sugar, but once you get past that hurdle of limiting “added” sugar, the program is easy. You’ll have nothing to lose, except your addiction to sugar, and you’ll have much to gain.
