I didn’t know what to do. I was trying to eat less and exercise, which only left me fat, hungry and frustrated. Two years ago I did the Best Body Countdown with my bootcamp and have been walking out the principles ever since. We are doing the program again now: I loved it so much I urged our program facilitator to do it again with my commitment to help administrate, and I brought my husband on board this time!
At my most recent wellness physical, after years of being pre-diabetic and having elevated cholesterol levels, my doctor said, “What did you do? Your bloodwork looks like a teenager’s!”
I may be getting older, but I’m still getting better…50 pounds lighter and wearing a Small instead of an XL! And I’ve maintained it for 2 years! I’m on my 3rd reading of the Success Journal. Like scripture, every time something different hits me in a new way.
The program facilitates healthy and lasting change that can change your life AND your childrens’. Falling off the wagon is not failure. Choosing not to get back on is. And who wants to miss a wagon ride?! They are really fun!

- Make “Notes” in your phone with recommended foods for easy reference when shopping.
- Make copies of the particularly relevant sidebars from the Success Journal (serving sizes, strong snacks, etc.) and post them in your pantry.
- Partner with others within their giftedness…I could not have done this without my fitness instructor’s (Beth) perspectives and partnership.
