I love a challenge. I also love to eat healthy and to cook, but I just didn’t know how to do it with the best nutrition. I recommend this book because it spells out step-by-step what one must do to lose weight (eating, exercise, sleep, food log, meal planning, etc). The Countdown to Your Best Body opened my eyes so much that every aspect of the program has stuck with me. I’ve been living the program for 9 months, and know exactly what I need to do to stay fit and keep the 60 pounds I’ve lost off.
The Success Journal stays on my nightstand because I refer to it almost weekly for tips such as healthy and filling snacks, food logs, exercise ideas, and the reasons I wanted to lose weight that I wrote down in the beginning of the program. It’s inspiring to me that I’ve accomplished many of the goals I listed in the first week. My start plank time at the beginning of the first round was somewhere around 30 seconds. My plank time by the end of my second round with of 52 days was 4 min 2 seconds, and I just finished my first 10K – running the whole way.
Making the time to keep in contact with my
accountability partner was tough, but accountability works for me! Just do what is required, even if life is busy, otherwise life will ALWAYS get in the way, and the weight will ALWAYS remain.
