I wanted to live my best possible life, and being 305 pounds wasn’t helping me do that. Losing weight has been an up and down hill battle over the years. Since starting the Best Body Countdown a year ago, I’ve lost 95 pounds, 2 shirt sizes, and gone from a size 22/24 to a 12/14 in pants. I’m able to do 30 or more minutes of cardio at a time (when I started, I could only walk for about 10-15 minutes before I was tired). My mood has improved, I don’t have anxiety about my health, I sleep better, and I don’t have knee pain anymore. I am able to keep up with my friends, and actually look forward to going to the gym every day.
Training my brain and my body on good nutrition in addition to the exercise routine was the hardest, but a year later and 95 pounds down, it’s easy to say that there’s some method to the madness! By following the guidelines of the Countdown, I was able to set a solid foundation for future food choices that are crucial to staying healthy. My aunt Rhonda has made the biggest impact on my progress. Her unwavering support and belief in me has given me the drive and motivation to continue, even when at times I felt like I was never going to make any progress.
I would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking to lose weight, increase their fitness, or even just help with everyday nutrition. This isn’t a “diet” program. This is a lifestyle change.
