When I got pregnant with my first child, I was in great shape and very healthy overall. I quickly found myself indulging in the mindset of “eating for two,” and gained close to 50 pounds over the course of my pregnancy. After I had my son, I was so overwhelmed with being a new mother, not getting good sleep, and all that comes with this stage, that I put taking care of myself to the wayside. I told myself I was not going to let myself get to the point of gaining 50 pounds the second time I was pregnant, but I did.
I learned so much from the book, and I’ve been continuing with the principles for an additional few months now through the Indestructible and Resolve programs, as those provide a tremendous amount of accountability and support. Since starting the Countdown five months ago, I have lost a total of about 25 pounds and about 10 inches total from my hips and thighs, and my plank time has improved by 2 minutes! I am refocused on being healthy for my family and also for myself!
I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to others! I am a list-maker by nature and loved checking off the boxes each day on the 5-4-3-2-1 plan. I plan to continue this for life!
