I heard about the Countdown book from a triathlete friend, and then another cyclist friend posted about the group January Best Body Countdown program. I decided to sign up because trying to reach my Best Body by myself was not working, even though I swim, cycle, and run. I needed accountability. The group Countdown was fun and the book makes it simple and straightforward.
I followed along each day and started losing weight without feeling deprived. When the 52-day Countdown ended I signed up for Best Body 24/7 for ongoing support. I have steadily been losing a half pound a week. I have lost 17 pounds and my husband lost 34 pounds by eating the foods I prepare. We both learned a lot: we were eating too many starchy vegetables.
I definitely felt like Sohailla was right there at my shoulder…one time I was actually reaching for a cookie in a staff meeting when I got a RESOLVE Facebook message that caused me to grab a veggie instead 🙂 I am now doing my second Best Body Countdown [nationwide program] and am looking forward to my third as I keep working towards My Best Body!
