What is meant by “Your Best Body?
In every season of life “Your Best Body” may be defined slightly differently, but it’s always YOURS to define… everyone deserves to reach their personal best – inside and out – regardless of their starting weight or fitness level!
What is the Best Body Countdown? And when is it held?
The Best Body Countdown is a guided 52-day journey of self-discovery and lifestyle change resulting in inner and outer strength and wellness. As a facilitator, you will be given the support and tools needed to lead your tribe to their “lifelong-strong” Best Bodies. Four 1-hour virtual Facilitator Trainings are offered in the months prior to each of our 2 annual nation-wide Best Body Countdowns, which always begin the day after MLK Day in January and the week after Labor Day in September.
What are the essentials of the program?
Self-assessment, accountability, sugar intake reduction with support and recipes, water/beverage choices, balanced meal planning with an emphasis on vegetables and purposeful snacks and de-emphasis on processed food; strategic splurging, and “make-it-count” movement…being Your personal Best!
What is the Best Body Countdown approach?
The over-arching goal of the Countdown is to offer the necessary support and insight for each participant to be their personal Best. Participants have described it as a journey of self-discovery, appreciating the many practical exercises of self-awareness that direct them, along with expert research-based advice, as to what needs to be tweaked or transformed in their lifestyle. Participants are rewarded for engaging in healthy behaviors, rather than for their immediate “numbers/outcomes” (via the 10 Best Body Ticket incentives, for example).
Most people are beginning the program for the purpose of weight loss, so I have been very intentional to try to strike the balance of meeting them where they have communicated they are in my 20 years of experience (that is, struggling through self-help fads and frustrated with their weight/fat tissue accumulation), meanwhile leading them to where I ultimately know they want to be big-picture: “Inside and out – lifelong strong!”
What will be my primary roles/tasks as a facilitator?
- Go through the 4 one-hour virtual trainings.
- Choose which of the 3 Best Body Countdown options you’ll offer (described below) and what services you’ll add on for your clients, building in your profit.
- Hold a Kick-Off/or assessment appointment day and distribute materials (which we will ship to you).
- For 52 days, encourage your participants’ step-by-step journey to their Best Bodies (via the Countdown to Your Best Body Success Journal). This can be via any of the following: check-ins, appointments, personal training sessions, group exercise/small-group exercise, walk-n-talks, support groups, phone coaching, bootcamps, etc.
- When possible, participate along with them in the support offered virtually by the Best Body Countdown Team: “Don’t Quit Chats,” Best Body Ticket incentives, Best Body Club Facebook support group, occasional surveys and polls.
- Make the most of the provided framework that is tried and true with thousands of participants in varied settings all over the US: the Best Body Countdown Team will do the behind-the-scenes admin leg-work and answer the questions within our scope, freeing you up to do what YOU do best on the front lines within your scope.
How many hours should I expect to spend launching and delivering this program?
Most of the time you’ll spend (outside of whatever your add-ons are) would be at the Kick-Off doing assessments (10-15 minutes per person), helping folks get acquainted in the first 2 weeks of the Countdown, and encouraging them on our private Best Body Club Facebook page for a few minutes a day. Most facilitators spend an estimated 2-3 hours per participant enrolled over the entire 52 days – the majority of which will be just before it starts and during the first couple of weeks. For example, assuming you have a Kick-Off shortly before the Countdown begins as well as a Wrap-Up Celebration at the end, if you enroll 20 participants, you would likely spend an estimated 1.5 hours of total time interacting with each participant over the first 3-4 weeks, and then another 30-60 minutes over the last 4-5 weeks.
How will I get the word out?
Social media graphics are provided each week for promotion, a customizable poster download, and a 5×7 postcard you may distribute once registration is open. These tools are included for those who register for each of the 4 trainings and order either the Basic, Power or Plus programs.

Do you advise facilitators regarding which services to add on to the Best Body Countdown program “on the ground?”
We love that each center makes it their own with their add-ons. We share a variety options for add-ons and urge you to think through what your skills and setting can offer, providing support along the way, but keeping it simple. The Facilitator Forum you’ll have access to is a good place to learn from other wellness professionals who have led the countdown multiple times. Our team will help with setting up electronic registration forms and give guidance regarding taking payments electronically.
What is the cost for the trainings?

- Option 1: Facilitator Training & Launch Support: Best Body Countdown: $150 (Space is limited! Don’t wait to register!)
- Includes: four 1-hour virtual trainings, electronic Facilitator Guide (password protected Facilitator’s website/resources), social media promotional materials and poster download.
- The trainings include an electronic step-by-step guide and will be recorded.
- Option 2: Refresher Facilitator Trainings & Support (discounted if you have completed trainings and Countdowns two times through prior to Dec. 2023)
- Includes: four 1-hour virtual trainings, electronic Facilitator Guide (password protected Facilitator’s website/resources), social media promotional materials and poster download.
- You will be expected to complete each of the 4 surveys prior to each training and to review the Facilitator Guide link for updates. You are encouraged to attend trainings. Though attendance is not required, you are responsible for the information covered.

Does my site need to follow your program timing? (Offered twice annually: beginning the day after MLK day and the week after Labor Day).
It is ideal to allow our experienced Best Body Team to provide the framework and do the admin leg-work, ensuring a successful program, as we’ve run it multiple times logistically. That way you can instead focus on what you do best on the front lines. We do not recommend running the Countdown during any major holidays, as routine is typically thrown off for participants with travel, school out, etc.
