Friends, we are all in different places right now.
Some are baking bread and taking long walks, others are masking up and working 12-hour days, some are binge-watching Netflix, others are losing loved ones, others are homeschooling kids with cabin-fever, and many are looking in an empty refrigerator, knowing their income source is gone. (If the latter is you, please respond here for help with groceries ❤️).
Regardless of your reality right now, stress and anxiety can swallow you up (if your couch doesn’t suck you in first).
Below are 10 tips I want to share today. And on Monday, I’m going to start a simple Triple-Win 20 challenge where we focus on 3 things to get us through 20 days: gratitude, movement, and self-care/soul-care.
If you are interested in having accountability to prioritize these 3 things, and a fun, encouraging community around you to enjoy progress with, click here for a 2-minute survey so I can learn how I can best serve you.
10 Self-Care Tips
- Get outside. A hammock, a fire, a porch rocker, a walk in the neighborhood.
- Face-time or Zoom-meet with a friend. Air-hugs count for something!
- Listen to soothing music or your favorite high-school jams playlist.
- Record your thoughts and prayer requests in a journal or notebook.
- Message one person you are grateful for.
- Move every day (try this boogie-burpee :).
- Eat all the rainbow colors and drink plenty of water.
- Laugh. Check out the coronavirus memes here or dry-bar comedy on youtube.
- Snuggle with your pets or family members if possible.
- Set a timer when you’re checking the news so you don’t get stuck there.
